THE PRESS RELEASE of ERA company about participation in "Cable & Satellite, Teleradio & Film Technology and Broadband 2004" exhibition
The 6-th international exhibition "Cable & Satellite, Teleradio & Film Technology and Broadband 2004" has taken place from 10 till 13 February 2004 in Cultural Exhibition center "Sokolniky". The exhibition was held with the support of IBC (International Broadcasting Convention), Ministry of Communications of Russian Federation, International Association of Broadcasting equipment Manufacturers (IABM), and many other organisations.
In this year at the ERA’s booth you could familiarize with the newest equipment from JVC, Sony, Axel, Canopus, Matrox.
The variant of digital cinema equipped with a sound Dolby Digital 5.1, based on projector D-ILADLA-HX1 from JVC was one of the important elements of ERA's exposition. There visitors could evaluate quality of the image from various sources: PC, DVD, HD-videoplayerD-VHS and etc.
One of mew products, demonstrated on the stand of ERA company — System of registration of air Infonet TV from Matrox, is intended for operative formation, output and distribution on a cable network or through the Internet of media content.
It is used for multi-screen display of information. The system creates on the screen some zones, in which the user can give interesting materials (static video and graphic images, computer animation, «live» video, titles and etc.)
The low-cost system for shooting and editing of HD-material from JVC, which already won a recognition ftom the public, was demonstrated at our stand. It consists of compact HD-camcorderJY-HD10U and it's standard set includes the editing program
HD MPEG Edit Studio Pro 1.0 LE, and recorder SR-VD400UD-VHS format with D-Theater.
Camcorder allows to record HD signal with size ratio 16:9 in 1280õ720p, 480/60p modes and transfer the material into D-VHS format through digital interface IEEE-1394. The program for editing is the basis for system of nonlinear editing based on ÐÑ, its working with video materials of MPEG-2 TS format and HD quality. The SR-VD400U can record 1080i or 720p digital signal via digital interface IEEE-1394 from PC, HD camcorder or from set-top box.
On the stand visitors could familiarize with unique opportunities of GY-DV5001 camcorder, Professional DV family, in which was added a disk recorder DR-DV5000E. This set allows to make simultaneous records onto tape and onto disk.
GY-DV5001 has a new scheme of 12-bit the analog-to-digital converter of input video signal.
The new tape-driving mechanism is developed for use standard and mini-DV tapes. Camcorder has IEEE-1394 input/output. It has an opportunity of DVCAM playback. Camcorder has also streamcorder option.
DR-DV5000 — is an attached disk (HDD) recorder. It can be easily integrated with camcorder GY-DV5000, and provides recording in native format of nonlinear systems. Disk can contain up to 6,5 hours of video material in DV format. The shooting material immediately after the shooting on a hard disk can directly be connected to station of nonlinear editing (via IEEE-1394), that instantly makes videomaterial accessible with all metadata without tiresome digitization procedure for editing. Unlike other similar systems on a hard disk, in this case there are no intermediate steps between shooting and editing.
BR-DV3000 — the supercompact videorecorder from JVC of Professional DV family, which can work as in horizontal, and vertical position, that often is necessary in small studios, OB Van and on workplaces with the limited space. The videorecorder has a set of functions of the professional digital device. The basic opportunities of BR-DV3000:

The system MediaEdge from Canopus, intended for transfer of videoinformation of television quality in formats MPEG-1/2 via Intranet networks, also was presented at ous stand.
Through the small-sizes television attachment — SetTopBox (STB), connected with any point of the local network, you can reserve film, interesting program or other videoinformation stored on a server, and see it on the television monitor. The control of the STB device is carried out from remote infra-red board. Besides, any workstation in a network, equipped special decoder-board from Canopus ML-D2000 have an opportunity to accept the videoinformation transmitted from a server on the schedule. The organization of the capture, storage and transfer of a video and audio information is actualized on a server with the help of MediaEdge Server software. The opportunity of organization of direct broadcasting of the programs in Intranet network is given if on server there are coder-boardCanopus Amber.
At our stand visitors could familiarize with System of automation of live broadcasting OnAir based on Hardware-software complex of ForvardTX series. The basic features:
Organization of broadcasting or inset in the broadcast channel of videoplots according to time-schedule or with control from the remote source.
Organization of recording of one or several channels with an opportunity of simultaneous editing and broadcasting of the prepared materials with a time delay.
Integration with the external equipment and control opportunity of external devices on GPI or RS-422.
Support of various compression formats (DV25, MJPEG, MPEG2 I-frames) and not compressed signal.
Opportunity to playback videofiles from the remote file servers.
