As usual, ERA company has actively taken part in the international exhibition "Cable & Satellite, Teleradio & Film Technology and Broadband CSTB 2003". The exhibition was held from 10 till 13 February 2003 in Cultural Exhibition center "Sokolniky".
This year exhibition included new section "Tele&Cinema&Radiotechnology", devoted to the equipment for production and postproduction, tele and radio broadcasting equipment and questions of system integration.
Besides it, the additional direction concerning to film business, in particular with a digital cinematography was introduced. The section of a conference "Digital cinema - future is today" was devoted to this direction which successfully has held on February 12. ERA company was one of the organizers of this section. The chairman of section was Gerasim Gadiyan.
The work of section began from the survey report of Era company "Era of a digital cinematograph - future approachable today". The main manufacturers of the digital cinema equipment, distributors, producers, designers of cinemas have taken part in work of this section: JVC, Texas Instruments, Sony, Panasonic, Snell Wilcox, UMP, Nevafilm etc. At the end of section the workshop was held on a subject "Content. Alternative use, economy of digital and electronic cinemas ", on which Mr. Solter (IBC), Mrs. Vinogradova (NIKFI- Cine&Photo Research Institute), Mr. Krivocheev (NIIR),Mr. Saryan (NIIR), Mr. Makartsev (Motion Picture and Television Technology Magazine), Atamalibekov (The UMP film company), Mr. Shudt (HLS), Mr. Pribil (Panasonic) etc. have spoken. Section was finished by evening demonstration of electronic and digital cinema in multiplex " The Formula of cinema ".
The exposition of ERA company included newest broadcasting equipment of leading firms-manufacturers JVC, Sony, Canon, Sachtler, Canopus, Kramer etc.
For the first time at this exhibition ERA company was presented the new product - Stringer, journalist desktop, representing compact telejournalistic complete set for shooting and editing.
The complete set based on camcorder JVC GY-DV301E and system of nonlinear editing on mini NoteBook. Stringer allows shooting on the miniDV tape, and recording up to 15 minutes of given material to edit on mini Notebok and to transfer ready content to the Internet.Stringer - is the working tool of the independent journalist, is irreplaceable for TV news services, in corporate and educational telestudios, at operative shootings. Stringer allows not only to shoot material, but also to bring a complete plot.
On the stand of our company it was be possible to familiarize with studio of virtual reality "Focus", with new line of the complete solutions for Mobile Multi-Camera TV Complex (MMTC), with opportunities of streamcorder GY-DV300E (including transfer of the image through the Internet and via local area network), with a popular videomixer "Odyssey" (only in russian), with 42" plasma displays GD-V4210PZWA, with HD-recorder of D-VHS format HÌ-DH30000U from JVC, with the system for Web-streaming MediaEdge from Canopus etc.
New camcorder GY-DV5000 from JVC, which was been shown at the exhibition TRBE 2002 for the first time and has attracted attention of experts, was included to the exposition of our company at this exhibition. This camcorder is capable to work not only with miniDV tapes, but also with standard DV tapes without adapter. Camcorder has an option of network pack KA-DV500, allowing to organize streaming broadcasting at speeds of stream up to 512 kilobit/second. The videorecorders BR-DV6000 and BR-DV3000 are also included into this line of the equipment. The compact videorecorder BR-DV3000, working in the standards PAL and NTSC, capable to play back DVCAM tapes, has cassete housing assembly, compatible with DV and miniDV, and will bulk large at the stand of ERA company.
HD-equipment from Panasonic was included in the exposition of Era company: AJ-HDC27 Varicam, new HD camcorder completely realizing potential opportunities of a digital cinematography; frame-rate converter AJ-FRC27E; the videorecorder AJ-HD150FE, monitor BT-H1700AE.
In a hall of electronic cinema equipped with the most modern equipment and a sound Dolby Digital 5.1, visitors could familiarize with variants of electronic cinemas , offered by ERA company. The variants based on the newest videoprojector DLA-SX21, which provides a projection of the image of magnificent quality with the superhigh resolution 4.5 million pixel and with natural colour rendition, and based on videoprojector DLA-G150HT from JVC were presented. Both of these projectors are implemented with use of technology D-ILA from JVC.
